Exclusive.. Aoun Reveals the Negatives of the GNU Decision to Authorize the NOC to Dispose of Revenues to Pay Several Items

Minister of Oil and Gas, Mohamed Aoun, commented in an exclusive statement to our source on the decision of the National Unity Government to pay the value of fuel supplies directly and temporarily from revenues.

He stated that regulatory authorities objected to the decision, as did the Central Bank of Libya, because it is illegal, and that this mechanism has been ongoing since 2021.

Aoun also indicated that the decision is contrary to the state’s financial system and its harm lies in giving the institution a free hand to buy what it deems necessary quantities and deduct their cost.
