The Islamic Call Association exclusively told our source that it has initiated criminal proceedings against the former board member of the association, “Ali Salem Sallabi,” and those who assisted him in the crime of impersonation. This involved attending meetings with oversight bodies and presenting himself as a member without legal documentation, thereby misleading the judiciary and obstructing justice.
The association explained that some employees in certain authorities are attempting to act based on an invalid and expired decision under legislative provisions for suspicious reasons.
It continued: “We are in contact with the Office of the Public Prosecutor, the Administrative Control Authority, the Audit Bureau, and the sovereign bodies to inform them of the violations affecting the association’s operations and undermining its legal and financial status.”
The association added that Sallabi, through those who aided him in the impersonation crime, seeks to confuse administrative and oversight authorities and harm the public interest in an attempt to impose an illegal status quo.
The Islamic Call Association concluded its statement by saying: “We will not allow any tampering with the association’s legal and financial position under any circumstances or pretext, and we will continue performing our duties in accordance with the law and current legislation.”
