Claudio Descalzi, CEO of the Italian energy company Eni, affirmed that the company operates under relatively safe conditions regarding risk management in its projects in Libya.
Speaking from Wall Street during an event marking the 30th anniversary of Eni’s listing on the New York Stock Exchange, Descalzi explained that Eni produces gas in Libya, and all of that production is directed to Italy.
He added that this role has made Eni a key contributor to the energy transition and has helped protect its production operations in Libya.
Descalzi also noted that Eni continues to support and invest in Libya, being the only company currently investing in projects that directly meet its operational needs.
