Exclusive: “Shadhar Al-Said” Reveals Corruption in the Ministry of Economy Headed by Mohammed Al-Huwaij with Documents
Our source has obtained exclusive documents related to incidents of financial embezzlement and corrupt practices within the Ministry of Economy of the Government of National Unity, headed by Minister Mohammed Al-Huwaij. The documents were disclosed by the minister’s advisor, Shadhar Al-Said, in her capacity as Advisor to the Minister and Director of the International Cooperation Office.
The official documents reveal that overtime payments were granted selectively to a specific group of employees, while others were denied without legal justification. This constitutes a clear violation of the principles of fairness and equal opportunity, an abuse of authority, waste of public funds, and mismanagement of human resources.
The advisor also expressed surprise at the refusal to pay for her official email service, despite its relatively low cost of approximately 500 Libyan dinars per month, and despite the service’s critical importance in ensuring official communication with international organizations and managing bilateral and multilateral relations.
As a result of this refusal, the service was effectively suspended, despite the availability of approved financial allocations for this purpose. This, she noted, represents an explicit failure to fulfill administrative duties and a clear violation of the requirements of the public interest.
