The Central Bank of Libya revealed exclusively to our source that $600 million was sold yesterday for personal purposes only, while $800 million was allocated for letters of credit and transfers on Thursday. Operations are ongoing to sell and settle new amounts for all purposes and to complete the allocated $2 billion.
The Central Bank confirmed that it will continue selling and approving new amounts next week, in parallel with the completion of the cash dollar sale mechanism, with quantities sufficient to meet individuals’ demand.
