The website Ports Europe reported on Tuesday that the Port of Brega, on the Mediterranean Sea, has received the gas tanker “Houston,” flying the Panamanian flag, carrying 1,000 tons (11,300 barrels) of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) for the local market.
The site noted that this marks the first shipment of its kind since 2017. Brega is considered a key port for oil and gas exports and an important industrial hub within Libya.
