Egyptian Newspaper: Libyan and Egyptian Chambers of Commerce and Industry Sign Agreement to Launch Annual Industrial Exhibition in April 2027

The Egyptian newspaper EGYPT INDEPENDENT revealed on Sunday that the Egyptian and Libyan Chambers of Commerce and Industry have signed an agreement to launch an annual industrial exhibition in April 2027.

The newspaper explained that the Federation of Egyptian Industries and the General Libyan Federation of Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture signed a cooperation protocol to organize an annual Egyptian-Libyan Industrial Integration Exhibition in the city of Benghazi, with its inaugural edition tentatively scheduled to take place in April 2027.

The newspaper noted that the agreement aims to enhance industrial, trade, and investment cooperation, support partnerships between the business communities of the two countries, and open new markets for Egyptian and Libyan products.

The newspaper added that the protocol seeks to move Egyptian-Libyan economic relations beyond traditional trade toward a more integrated model based on industrial and investment partnerships, the exchange of expertise and technology, stronger joint value and production chains, and greater use of the production capacities and logistical capabilities of both countries. It also aims to capitalize on Libya’s strategic location as a gateway to several African markets, according to the newspaper.
