Audit Bureau: Oil Exports Worth $18.46 Billion and $6.12 Billion Spent on Fuel Imports Over Seven Months

The Audit Bureau’s report on crude oil production, exported quantities, and revenues collected during the period from January 1 to July 31, 2026, revealed that total crude oil production reached approximately 287.9 million barrels, while total exports amounted to around 193.4 million barrels.

The total value of oil exports reached approximately $18.46 billion, including around $663.6 million in revenue from the sale of condensates and petroleum products. Meanwhile, approximately $11.16 billion was transferred to the Central Bank of Libya, while $15.789 billion was collected by the Libyan Foreign Bank.

The report recorded total costs for importing fuel from external sources at approximately $6.122 billion, for a total quantity of around 6.11 million metric tons, delivered through 207 shipments during the same period.

The report also noted that the fuel-swap system was terminated on February 12, 2026, with a transition to a system based on opening letters of credit and covering them from oil revenues.
