34 Italian Companies to Participate in “Benghazi Urban” to Implement Numerous Projects… Italian Agency Nova Reveals Details

The Italian Nova news agency reported today, Thursday, that a delegation comprising 34 Italian companies and 42 participants will take part in the Benghazi Urban event, aimed at advancing the reconstruction process and comprehensive urban development in Benghazi, from September 6 to 8.

According to Nova, the mission, organized by the Italian-Libyan Chamber of Commerce, will depart from Rome Fiumicino Airport on September 3 and remain in Benghazi until September 10. In addition to the event, the mission will include meetings with key local companies and the Libya Reconstruction and Development Fund.

The participating companies include Artelia, Spiri, Buro Milan, European Engineering, Pasqualucci Costruzioni, General Smontaggi, and Simaforica, as well as companies specializing in technology, services, healthcare, and training, in addition to Niccolò Cusano University.

The agency added that the closing event of the Global Competitive Urban Planning Initiative – Benghazi (GCUPI-B), sponsored by the Fund, will be held from September 6 to 8. The schedule was extended by the organizers in response to the high level of international participation.

The event also aims to serve as a platform for bilateral meetings between companies, the formation of alliances, project presentations, and direct discussions with Libyan decision-makers and practitioners, with the goal of exploring potential opportunities for cooperation in Benghazi and elsewhere across the country, according to the Italian agency.
