PetroVietnam announced today, Saturday, that a meeting was held in Hanoi last Monday between PetroVietnam Vice President and Deputy CEO Vo Dau and the Chargé d’Affaires at the Libyan Embassy in Vietnam to discuss opportunities for expanding bilateral cooperation in the oil and gas sector.
According to the oil company, in its commentary on the meeting, PetroVietnam said: “With Libya’s abundant oil resources and PetroVietnam’s capabilities across all stages of the energy value chain, from exploration and production to gas, power, refining, and high-quality technical services in the oil and gas sector, both sides see significant potential for strengthening cooperation.”
PetroVietnam said the discussions highlighted opportunities to:
- Explore new oil and gas projects;
- Provide high-quality technical services in Libya;
- Enhance the exchange of information and professional knowledge;
- Leverage complementary capabilities to support energy development.
PetroVietnam emphasized that this cooperation represents an important step toward expanding the scope of international cooperation and turning shared potential into practical opportunities.
It added that strengthening trade relations would not only contribute to mutual growth, but also help deepen Libyan-Vietnamese relations, enhance energy security, and achieve sustainable development, according to the company.
