An official in the Great Man-Made River Project Execution and Management Authority explains the reason for stopping pumping in the Al-Hasawna system
The Execution and Management Authority of the Great Man-Made River Project announced that there are frequent power cuts in the area of the wells fields in the Al-Hasawna system, the Jafara Plain, these days, which caused the pumping to stop partially and sometimes completely.
It was also pointed out that the operating teams in the system are working 24 hours a day to make the fields available for operation to avoid a water shortage in the consumption areas.
For his part, the director of the media affairs office in the agency, Salah Al-Saadi, confirmed in a statement to our source that, according to what was reported by the General Electricity Company, the reason for the interruption is due to the presence of excessive loads on the network and that it needs maintenance work.
Al-Saadi also noted during his speech that: « The work of the device continues over a period of twenty-four hours, and we are following the development, moment by moment. »
