Al-Asaba Economy Observer: « Whenever the campaigns intensified on wholesale stores and their follow-up and monitoring by the regulatory agencies, we notice a slight decrease in prices »
The economic observer in the municipality of Al-Asaba, Mohammed Al-Sawamy, stated exclusively to our source: « Regarding prices, we note the rise, especially in vegetables and fruits, where the price of potatoes reached 4 dinars per kilo, as well as tomatoes and peppers, which reached 17 dinars per kilo, apples are for 10 dinars, bananas are for 6 dinars, pears are for 12 dinars and onions are for 3 dinars. »
He added by saying: « As for ration goods, the tomato box has reached its price of 45 dinars, the price of oil is 135 dinars, milk price is 4 dinars, cheese is from 2 dinars and above, tuna is from 4 dinars and above, pasta is from 4 dinars, and 25 kilos of flour price are 80 dinars. »
He continued by saying: « Regarding the solutions that were developed to lower prices, as assigning the municipal guards and following them up according to the purchase invoices, with a small profit margin, but the exporter is the reason for the high prices. We also note that when the campaigns intensified on wholesale stores and their follow-up and monitoring by the regulatory agencies, the prices decreased slightly. »
