Al-Jebu: « The initiative of the Ministry of Economy with companies to sell at cost is a pioneering and authentic experience and a manifestation of social solidarity »

The economic advisor, Wahid Al-Jebu, said during the initiative of the Ministry of Economy to honor the companies that contributed to the recent price reduction. He said: « There is no doubt that we are aware when it comes to the citizen’s and his family’s livelihood to face a rise in the month of Ramadan. The protection of the state and the philanthropists becomes an urgent and necessary need for their rapid intervention and for the people of righteousness to be among the first in providing food so that it becomes accessible to all, whether rich or middle-income and the weak, which secures them to spend the month of repentance and forgiveness without anything that worries them or distracts them from worshipping God. »

He continued, « On this occasion, the Ministry of Economy and Trade, the Food Control Center, the security services, the Municipal Guard, the civil society organizations, a number of businessmen and owners of commercial and industrial companies in the field of manufacturing, marketing and distributing foodstuffs, have all made good efforts to serve their people and prevent the occurrence of a food crisis in these circumstances that Libya is going through. »

He added: « This is an effective popular and societal solidarity in a pioneering and authentic experience that emerged from the source of Islamic Sharia, which urges cooperation and harmony between all social classes, and which aims to create a sense of safety, tranquility and trust, so that all members of the people can perform their duties in the required manner to serve the country. »

He concluded his speech: « This generous gesture made by the Ministry of Economy and a number of companies to sell their products at cost is a generous and kind gesture and a manifestation of societal advancement and evidence of social solidarity and national unity. »
