Economics professor Ali Al-Sharif said that there does not appear to be any political solution on the horizon, while the economic situation continues to worsen day after day. The dollar has reached around 12 dinars, amid a near absence of fiscal policy due to the existence of multiple governments, in addition to weak transparency within the National Oil Corporation and the decline in its revenues.
He added that the combination of these factors is likely to keep pressure on the exchange rate, and the dollar could reach around 15 dinars within a short period if the current conditions remain unchanged.
