Al-Zantouti: Fortunate Thanks to Massad Boulos… Yet Unfortunate That Libya Could Not Unite on Its Own

Financial analyst Khaled Al-Zantouti wrote in an article in which he stated that there is no doubt everyone welcomed the agreement to unify public spending announced yesterday. Regardless of the details of the agreement, it is considered a fundamental financial step toward unifying financial and economic governance, and ending more than a decade of financial division that has imposed significant obligations and burdens on the national economy.

However, he expressed surprise last night and this morning at the large volume of news and analyses offering thanks and appreciation to Masad Boulos, senior advisor to Donald Trump, for his role in reaching this agreement on unifying spending.

He added that what troubled him—and pained him even more—is the bitter reality that citizens of the same country have been unable to agree on unifying their budget and spending without the intervention of “Uncle Sam” and his representative, Masad.

He continued: “This is, unfortunately, where we have arrived. I even found myself wishing that we are always blessed with the presence of Massad Boulos and others like him to help unify the country and its people. How fortunate we are with Massad Boulos, and how unfortunate our luck is with Saad and Masoud, the sons of Libya.”
