A currency trader told our source that the price of the US dollar by cheque has risen to 10.05 dinars, while the cash rate reached 8.8 dinars. He attributed this increase to the slow execution of personal-purpose cards for the second half of December.
He added that the slowdown in processing letters of credit, coinciding with their review by K2, has further contributed to the situation. He stressed that unchecked spending, random decisions, delays in implementation, and the decline in oil revenues transferred by the National Oil Corporation will all intensify the crisis.
