Exclusive: After Al-Menfi’s Correspondence and the Government Being Deemed Caretaker, Dbeibeh Proceeds with Ministerial Reshuffle in Education and Culture, Disregarding Conditions

Our source has exclusively obtained a letter from the President of the Presidential Council, Mohamed Al-Menfi, addressed to the Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdulhamid Dbeibeh, stating that his government has lost legitimacy and has been turned into a caretaker government following the withdrawal of confidence by Parliament.

The letter indicated that any ministerial reshuffle within the Government of National Unity requires broad national consensus, a proper legal framework, and mandatory consultation regarding the defense and foreign affairs portfolios.

For his part, Dbeibah issued a decision appointing Mohamed Al-Grew as Minister of Education and Salem Al-Alam as Minister of Culture and Knowledge Development.
