The Central Bank of Libya exclusively revealed to our source that it is preparing to launch a new strategy for distributing cash liquidity across all branches and agencies of commercial banks throughout Libya, covering the eastern and western regions, as well as the north and south.
The move comes after the regular arrival of newly printed banknotes featuring high-security specifications and quality standards designed to prevent counterfeiting.
According to the Central Bank, it will begin providing cash liquidity at the beginning of August, with cash expected to remain available through bank branch counters and ATMs, with withdrawal limits set at levels sufficient to meet citizens’ needs for physical cash.
