Exclusive – Documents reveal: Italian company “Rotolito” to the Ministry of Education — The books have been ready for two months, but extortion and shipping delays have caused us major financial losses

Our source has obtained a letter sent by the Italian company Rotolito to the Ministry of Education of the Government of National Unity, confirming that all school textbooks have been fully printed and have been ready at the port for two months, awaiting release through a letter of credit or any other payment method. The company said that the delay has led to the accumulation of heavy demurrage fees due to repeated cancellations of shipping bookings, causing them substantial financial losses.

According to the letter, Rotolito stated that a local company contacted them and offered a settlement, pledging to secure the due payments more quickly. The company agreed to this arrangement in order to expedite the process. However, the promise was not fulfilled, and they were subjected to clear pressure and extortion, being told that the books were now being printed in Turkey, and that they had no choice but to ship the books immediately without any guarantees.

The correspondence also confirmed that all books are ready for shipment after undergoing multiple inspections, as indicated in a report issued by an official from the Ministry’s Book Department at the end of this month.

The letter added that it had been agreed that payment would be made immediately, but Rotolito was surprised by a request to open a letter of credit — a procedure that would take longer and increase penalties, thus further delaying the books’ arrival to students.

The company concluded by urging the opening of a direct communication channel with the Ministry to resolve the matter, emphasizing that it has already incurred losses in fulfilling its obligations and will face additional financial damage if shipment is not carried out urgently.
