Our source has exclusively obtained a letter from the Customs Authority addressed to the directors of customs departments and the head of the Free Zone Customs Center in Misrata, regarding the extension of the grace period allowing the entry and clearance of all goods until further notice.
This extension comes after a series of conflicting decisions and repeated delays of the decree issued by the Minister of Economy and Trade, Mohamed Al-Huwaij, which prohibits engaging in import, export, and re-export activities except through banking transactions. The decision has been postponed several times before, amid evident confusion in implementing economic policies and a lack of clear vision on his part.
