Exclusive: Our Source Obtains Documents Revealing Theft of 600 Meters of Copper Cables from Dat El Emad Complex by Employees of the Abu Bakr Al-Trabelsi Committee
Our source has obtained documents revealing the theft of copper cables estimated at approximately 600 meters of copper from the Dat El Emad Investment Complex by employees affiliated with the Abu Bakr Al-Trabelsi Committee.
Our source revealed that technicians and contracting companies informed the association about the “criminal” incident in an effort to find a solution to the large-scale theft taking place inside the complex, despite the presence of surveillance cameras throughout the site.
The source added that the Dat El Emad complex is currently under what was described as “force majeure” due to Abu Bakr Al-Trabelsi’s control over the facility in violation of judicial rulings, laws, and applicable legislation. The source noted that several employees refuse to work under the current administration because it lacks legal legitimacy.
The source further stated that employees within Al-Trabelsi’s committee have resorted to stealing copper cables, pipes, and pumps following the shutdown of several of their funding sources.
The source also explained that the association is calling on the military units currently protecting the Dat El Emad complex externally to strengthen security presence both inside and outside the facility and prevent further theft incidents from occurring.
According to the source, this is not the first theft incident allegedly involving employees of the Al-Trabelsi committee, adding that oversight authorities are aware of previous theft cases that occurred inside the complex.
