Exclusive: Ruling Issued Against Former Islamic Call Society Board Member Ali Al-Sallabi and Sentencing in Egypt Over Storming Tayba Agricultural Investment Company Headquarters
Our source has obtained correspondence from the court president and the public prosecutor regarding a ruling issued against former board member of the Islamic Call Society, Ali Al-Sallabi, and his sentencing in Egypt on charges related to storming the headquarters of Tayba Agricultural Investment Company and carrying tools intended for assault against persons and property.
After reviewing the investigations, statements from the parties involved, recordings, and submitted documents, the court concluded that some of the accusations were not sufficiently proven, while other charges related to assault, threats, and property damage were substantiated.
Accordingly, the court convicted the defendants on several charges and issued a sentence of two years imprisonment with labor, suspended execution, in addition to a financial fine and an order to pay civil compensation to the victims, along with court expenses.
