An exclusive source told Sada Economic Newspaper that several parties have contacted the Governor of the Central Bank of Libya to urge him to withdraw his resignation and implement a package of urgent reforms aimed at ensuring financial and exchange-rate stability, reviewing public spending and revenues, implementing the unified spending agreement, and adopting measures within trade policy to safeguard state resources and reserves, protect the economy, and prevent the smuggling of goods and fuel.
The source added that official meetings will be held to ensure the implementation of these reforms, which constitutes a fundamental condition set by the governor and the Central Bank’s Board of Directors.
