Exclusive: Sources to Sada: Al-Hangari Transferred Ownership of an Export Development Authority Vehicle to Himself and Purchased Vehicles Worth More Than LYD 670,000 for Authority Officials

Our sources revealed that the head of the Libyan Export Development Authority, Mohamed Al-Hangari, transferred ownership of a 2021 Toyota Camry to himself after it had been assigned to him by the Authority.

According to the sources, the vehicle had originally been received from the previous administration as an asset belonging to the Authority. The ownership transfer reportedly took place less than five months after Al-Hangari assumed his position.

The sources further claimed that Al-Hangari authorized the purchase of a 2025 Toyota Prado at a cost of approximately LYD 450,000.

They also stated that a Suzuki Fronx was purchased for the Director of the International Cooperation Office, who had been seconded from the Prime Minister’s Office. The vehicle was later replaced with a 2025 Kia Sportage reportedly valued at more than LYD 220,000.

Based on the figures cited by the sources, the total value of the vehicles purchased for officials within the Authority exceeded LYD 670,000.

The article attributes these claims to unnamed sources and does not include a response or comment from Al-Hangari or the Export Development Authority regarding the allegations.
