Exclusive: The Central Bank Contacts Libyan Islamic Bank and Identifies Officials Responsible for Violations in the Bank to Relieve Them of Their Duties
Our source exclusively obtained correspondence from the Central Bank of Libya to the Libyan Islamic Bank, relieving the Director of the Audit Department of his duties, as well as the Director of Risk Management, and prohibiting them from holding any leadership positions due to violations observed by the Central Bank regarding the bank’s financial and administrative conditions, with the restructuring of the Audit and Risk Committees, emanating from the bank’s board of directors.
Additionally, the Central Bank issued another correspondence to the Islamic Bank, instructing several bank officials, including Hafidh Al-Hamrouni, Abdullah Al-Bashri, Salah Qarara, and Ashraf Bedhabaa, not to hold any positions due to their negligence in providing the necessary care for the bank.
