The Minister of Economy in the Government of National Unity, Mohamed Al-Huwaij revealed exclusively to our source about his meeting today with the chambers of commerce and industry that it was agreed with the chambers to develop a vision for diversifying the national economy, and to develop proposals on food security, methods of controlling price increases, and tightening control over the quality of goods imported and produced.

According to Al-Huwaij, it was agreed on the necessity of establishing a grain bureau, even by private means, to control the strategic stockpile of grain, the most important of which is wheat, and for each chamber to renew commercial, industrial and agricultural activities and services that are given priority.

According to the Minister of Economy, it was also agreed to activate laws regarding activities prohibited for non-Libyans to practice, such as services, trade, and stores of vegetables, fruits and meat, and the necessity of limiting them to Libyans.
