French publication Africa Intelligence reported on Saturday that the head of Libya’s National Oil Corporation (NOC) is quietly shutting down the corporation’s Strategic Communications Department.
According to the French publication, in July, Massoud Suleiman Issa Rashwan, the director of the corporation’s Communications Department, was relieved of his duties and transferred to Technia Libya for Engineering, a subsidiary of the National Oil Corporation.
Rashwan reportedly now serves as a deputy at the company, according to Africa Intelligence.
