Sources reveal the aspects of the ship accused of smuggling oil in Zawiya

Sources familiar with the case revealed news about the ship that was seized for smuggling oil from Zawiya.

According to what these sources said, the ship, named Alkareem, and through the research it becomes clear that the ship Alkareem is for transporting general goods and not a tanker of oil derivatives as it is claimed.

It is also worth noting that Alkareem ship is owned and managed by a Turkish company called Sea Dream Ltd. and registered in the African Republic of Togo. The owner company is based in the Turkish city of Mersin and has a group of medium and small-sized cargo ships, which may have approached to supply fuel for private use.

The officer in the Coast Guard, Abdul Rahman Milad, nicknamed Al-Bidja, had announced the arrest of the ship smuggling targeting the food of the Libyans from the Zawiya refinery point of the western sector of the Coast Guard, north of the Abu Kammash area.

According to what he posted on his official Facebook page, he is now on his way to the port of Tripoli and will be handed over to the competent authorities.
