The Undersecretary of the State Audit Bureau discloses to our source the objectives and activities related to the strategic plan of 2022-2026
The Undersecretary of the Audit Bureau in Tripoli, Alaa El-Din Al-Masallati, stated about the launch of the strategic plan for our source, by saying: « The modern and developed strategic plan project of 2022-2026 started since 2018 by assessing the gaps in the work of the Audit Bureau and developing a complete and comprehensive report under the name of « Performance Measurement Framework ». Accordingly, the strategic plan was designed, in a way that takes into account the shortcomings in the performance of the work of the Bureau. »
He explained: « This strategy emerged from the Bureau’s vision, which consists of 4 goals, the first of which is to set an example for state institutions and is linked to the elements of governance within the Bureau so that the Bureau builds itself on solid foundations of efficiency and integrity. »
He also continued: « Secondly, strengthening accountability and transparency to raise the efficiency of state institutions through exercising oversight tasks that are divided into three types: financial control, performance control and compliance control. Exercising these tasks requires scientific methodologies that operate according to standards that regulate them. »
He added: « The strategic plan has designed many activities, including a work tool, performance evaluation, training programs, and the development of employee qualifications. Thirdly, achieving the aspirations of the stakeholders, as citizens or as a legislative authority, as the other entities of the work of the Bureau and benefiting from it. Fourthly, and finally, the goal is to go globally to achieve the sustainable development goals, by carrying out the Bureau’s duties with guiding standards and guides related to this aspect. »
