The report indicated that the value of the smuggled oil amounts to an average of <strong>7 billion dollars annually<\/strong>, which represents <strong>27% of Libya\u2019s annual oil exports<\/strong>.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He added:<br>\u201cThe total over the three years from 2022 to 2024 exceeds <strong>160 billion Libyan dinars<\/strong> (according to current exchange rates), a figure roughly equivalent to the <strong>entire national budget of Libya for a full year!<\/strong>\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He continued:<br>\u201cJust imagine that enormous amount \u2014 enough to cover the salaries, spending, imports, travel, treatment, and transportation of all Libyans\u2026 It\u2019s unbelievable!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He went on to say:<br>\u201cAnd where did that money go? According to <em>The Guardian<\/em>, it went into the pockets of some members of our so-called <em>first row<\/em>. Although I find that hard to believe, because simply \u2014 those in the first row, being in the first row \u2014 should embody national and ethical responsibility and care for public funds\u2026 May God bless them!?! And I don\u2019t mean everyone.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He concluded:<br>\u201cThe situation has gone too far \u2014 far beyond limits! We must put an end to this farce.
