Libya is working to revive its aviation sector after years of decline by launching a new national airline, named \u201cUnified Libyan Airlines\u201d<\/strong>, during 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Currently, the country has two state-owned carriers, Libyan Airlines<\/strong> and Afriqiyah Airways<\/strong>, and the new airline is expected to strengthen air connectivity by operating flights linking the capital, Tripoli, to several destinations across North Africa and the Middle East.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This initiative is part of Libya\u2019s broader efforts to develop its aviation sector, which has been in decline for several years. The new CEO of Unified Libyan Airlines, Ziyad Farhoud<\/strong>, said in a statement: \u201cI am excited to lead the launch of this new carrier dedicated to connecting Libya with the region and the world.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The airline plans to build a fleet of Airbus A320 aircraft<\/strong> to support and operate its regional flights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
