This was a plan devised under cover of night, with strategic economic objectives aimed at controlling the largest oil reserves in the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Trump and the oil lobby know perfectly well that the era of fossil fuels will soon come to an end, as the world moves toward renewable energy due to its relationship with climate, sustainability, lower costs, and positive impact on human health. Therefore, Mr. Trump (and his allies), the old Seven Sisters oil lobby, are very keen to exploit fossil fuels as quickly as possible. He likely found his first valuable catch close to home: Venezuela, which possesses the largest oil reserves in the world (more than 300 billion barrels, equivalent to about 17% of global reserves), yet produces no more than 900,000 barrels per day (less than 1% of global supply). This is absolutely unacceptable to America\u2014especially since Mr. Trump decided to lower oil prices\u2014so he fabricated flimsy justifications such as \u201cdrugs\u201d to serve as his initial pretext.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After abducting Maduro, the Venezuelan president, he declared quite openly that he wants Venezuela\u2019s oil, the country with the highest oil reserves in the world. Here the truth became clear: he wants his companies to seize all of Venezuela\u2019s oil reserves and market them to America and others, simply because he wants to use time to sell these vast reserves and give the American oil lobby a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity\u2014before the world finally abandons fossil fuels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>More strangely, he began speaking about Nigeria as well, again using flimsy excuses centered on \u201cprotecting Christians\u201d\u2014a worn-out record long past its time, yet a pretext for controlling Nigeria and its oil. Nigeria is one of the most important crude oil producers and the largest in Africa, with substantial reserves. He has already begun striking specific targets in Nigeria and threatened direct military intervention, not to mention strikes on Iran and control over Iraq and its oil resources. As for the rest of the oil-producing countries, they already orbit within the American sphere in any case\u2014no fear from them, and no fear for them!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The next target may well be Libya\u2019s oil\u2014perhaps because of Libya\u2019s oil potential, geographic location, borders, and proximity to major European consumer markets\u2014thereby strengthening American control over the global oil market in both production and marketing. Trump will find many excuses to take control of Libyan oil, including division, corruption, and the erosion of the state, all of which would allegedly negatively affect \u201cAmerican security and the American economy.\u201d But the question is: whom will Trump abduct? This one\u2026 or that one\u2026 or this\u2026 or that\u2026 or all of them? We do not know. Everyone should prepare. Perhaps he will even be welcomed with flowers and gifted a \u201cbicycle helmet\u201d and a \u201cShannat al-Shannwara\u201d as expressions of joy at being rid of them! Especially since Libya\u2019s conditions are far worse than Venezuela\u2019s\u2014it is an easy catch. A few Apaches, a bit of AFRICOM, and it\u2019s over in hours\u2014perhaps minutes. In any case, the turn is coming, it\u2019s coming! May God protect us!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So will we take heed, unite, and place the nation\u2019s interest above all else?
