Early production will be enabled through a newly installed early production facility with an initial capacity of <strong>25,000 barrels per day<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pouyann\u00e9 said: \u201cThis is an important step in restoring Libya\u2019s exploration and production potential.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He added: \u201cBy restarting the field with low-emissions infrastructure, we demonstrate our long-term commitment to Libya and support the growth of the country\u2019s energy sector.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The website explained that the Mabrouk oil field is located within the concession area approximately <strong>130 kilometers south of Sirte<\/strong> and <strong>30 kilometers<\/strong> from nearby facilities. It is operated under a development and production-sharing agreement, in which <strong>TotalEnergies holds a 75% stake<\/strong>, while the remaining <strong>25%<\/strong> is owned by <strong>SAGA Petroleum<\/strong>, a subsidiary of <strong>Equinor<\/strong>. The current contract for the field expires in <strong>March 2028<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The announcement regarding the Mabrouk field coincides with the signing, on the same day, of a <strong>historic 25-year oil development agreement<\/strong> between the <strong>National Oil Corporation (NOC)<\/strong>, <strong>TotalEnergies<\/strong>, and <strong>ConocoPhillips<\/strong>. The agreement covers several assets, including <strong>Waha concession fields<\/strong>, and involves <strong>foreign investments exceeding $20 billion<\/strong>. It aims to increase production from approximately <strong>340,000\u2013400,000 barrels per day<\/strong> to as much as <strong>850,000 barrels per day<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>ConocoPhillips CEO <strong>Ryan M.
