Letters of credit were opened for the import of <strong>goods worth 171.7 million dollars<\/strong>, <strong>production inputs worth 47.8 million dollars<\/strong>, <strong>animal feed worth 44.5 million dollars<\/strong>, and <strong>essential goods supplies worth 23.2 million dollars<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The report further revealed the ranking of <strong>beneficiary countries from the approved coverage requests<\/strong>, according to the country benefiting from the foreign currency. <strong>Switzerland ranked first<\/strong> with <strong>82.4 million dollars<\/strong>, followed by <strong>Turkey<\/strong> with <strong>58.4 million dollars<\/strong>, while the <strong>United Arab Emirates ranked third<\/strong> with <strong>53.7 million dollars<\/strong>, and <strong>Italy came fourth<\/strong> with <strong>28.2 million dollars<\/strong>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A report by the Research and Statistics Department at the Central Bank of Libya revealed details of the foreign currency usage by banks during the first two months of 2026, which reached a total of 5.5 billion dollars.
