He emphasized the depth of the partnership between the two countries and their desire to strengthen cooperation across various fields.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The ambassador stated that Rome maintains an \u201copen and continuous dialogue with all relevant Libyan parties,\u201d supporting the UN-facilitated process aimed at achieving \u201cunified institutions increasingly capable of responding to the aspirations of the Libyan people.\u201d He also highlighted the strong interest in the economic and energy sectors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Alberini pointed out that Italy remains Libya\u2019s main trading partner, with trade volume between the two countries reaching approximately \u20ac9 billion, driven by the energy sector but gradually diversifying. In this context, the presence of Eni represents \u201can example of a strong and long-term partnership,\u201d with ongoing investments estimated at around $10 billion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The ambassador also highlighted the growing interest of Italian companies, including small and medium-sized enterprises, in the Libyan market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
