Researcher and media specialist in oil affairs, Ahmed Rajab Al-Mesalleti, stated that the security developments taking place in the city of Zawiya are viewed by many as a natural consequence of years of chaos, the spread of weapons, and the growing influence of groups operating outside state authority. He stressed that restoring the prestige of the state and enforcing the rule of law can no longer be postponed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In a statement to our source, Al-Mesalleti explained that supporting state institutions and implementing judicial directives represent necessary steps toward strengthening stability and enforcing the rule of law across Libyan cities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At the same time, he emphasized the importance of keeping oil facilities and refineries away from any conflict, stressing that the Zawiya refinery represents a vital artery directly connected to the daily lives of Libyans, and that any disruption or damage could affect fuel supplies, electricity, logistics, and citizens\u2019 everyday lives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He added that protecting the refinery, supply lines, and fuel storage facilities is not merely a local responsibility limited to the city of Zawiya, but rather a national issue tied to Libya\u2019s energy security and economic stability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Al-Mesalleti concluded by stressing that the success of the state at this stage should not only be measured by its ability to impose security, but also by its capacity to protect sovereign institutions, preserve the resources of the Libyan people, and ensure the continuity of vital sectors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
