This comes after the expiration of his previous assignment period and after he had exhausted the legal four-year term limit, extending his tenure to six years. He has held the position of Assistant Health Attach\u00e9 since 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The sources added that the decision came following the cancellation of the assignment of another official who had been serving in the position of Assistant Attach\u00e9, and the reappointment of Salah Mohammed Al-Huwaij to the same post.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to the sources, Salah Mohammed Al-Huwaij has been residing outside Libya for years and holds Maltese citizenship, raising questions regarding the extension procedures and the extent to which they comply with the regulations governing employment in diplomatic missions and foreign attach\u00e9 offices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The sources also confirmed that the other candidate had received a secondment decision as early as last August to assume his duties as Assistant Health Attach\u00e9. He had completed the necessary procedures and had been issued a special passport for the assignment.
