The Central Bank of Libya revealed to our source the value of bank profits during the first quarter of 2026, which reached LYD 1.4 billion, while paid-up capital stood at LYD 15.4 billion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Central Bank added that 13 banks have completed the required capital requirements: Jumhouria Bank, with LYD 3 billion; National Commercial Bank, LYD 1.7 billion; Wahda Bank, LYD 1.6 billion; Trade and Development Bank, LYD 600 million; North Africa Bank, LYD 1 billion; Aman Bank, LYD 1.4 billion; First Libyan Bank, LYD 600 million; Al-Mutawassit Bank, LYD 500 million; Nuran Bank, LYD 500 million; Al-Waha Bank, LYD 650 million; Libyan Islamic Bank, LYD 500 million; Tadamon Bank, LYD 500 million; and Al-Andalus Bank, LYD 500 million.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Meanwhile, seven banks are still in the process of completing their capital requirements: National Union Bank, which has reached LYD 250 million; Al-Mutahad Bank, LYD 390 million; Al-Yaqeen Bank, LYD 271 million; Arab Investment Bank, LYD 100 million; Al-Daman Bank, LYD 200 million; Islamic Tamween Bank, LYD 202 million; and Al-Siraj Islamic Bank, LYD 350 million.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Three banks have not yet begun completing their capital requirements: Sahara Bank, with LYD 378 million; Al-Saray Bank, LYD 100 million; and Al-Wafa Bank, LYD 60 million.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
