Our source exclusively obtained a copy of a report from the Audit Bureau\u2019s Eastern Region branch documenting corruption within the Ministry of Labour of the Libyan government affiliated with the Parliament.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The report stated that LYD 1.998 million<\/strong> was paid to \u201cAl-Tahdir\u201d Company to conduct an overseas training course through direct contracting, in violation of the administrative regulations. It also reported the payment of LYD 137,700<\/strong> to \u201cAl-An\u2019am Al-Shahiya\u201d Company for supplying phones and screens outside the scope of the contract and without the involvement of the tender committee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Bureau\u2019s report also revealed that LYD 118,300<\/strong> was paid to \u201cDarajat Al-Tamayoz\u201d Company for a graduation ceremony without obtaining competing bids and at inflated prices. In addition, LYD 52,000<\/strong> was paid in salaries to employees of the Sebha Labour Office without supporting documents proving their employment relationship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The report further stated that LYD 16,400<\/strong> was paid to \u201cAl-Alamiya\u201d Company for supplying computers and a printer without completing the required documentation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n It added that LYD 10,000<\/strong> was spent on training programs in Sebha that fall under the responsibilities of the Ministry of Social Affairs. LYD 299,700<\/strong> was paid to \u201cAl-Wahaj Al-Mumayaz\u201d Company under a cancelled payment authorization and without conducting a financial evaluation. LYD 157,500<\/strong> was paid to \u201cAlam Al-Tadreeb\u201d Company without submitting lists of trainees, while LYD 105,000<\/strong> was paid to \u201cAl-Intilaq\u201d Company without attaching the final report.<\/p>\n\n\n\n According to the Bureau\u2019s report, LYD 105,000<\/strong> was paid to \u201cAyqona\u201d Center without evaluation reports proving that the training courses had been carried out. It also reported the payment of LYD 114,000 in housing allowances to 17 employees<\/strong> of the Labour Unit without documented contracts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The report concluded by stating that LYD 78,000<\/strong> was paid as housing allowances without clarifying the beneficiaries\u2019 status or eligibility requirements.
