Our source obtained exclusively from the correspondence of the Minister of Finance in the Government of National Unity, Khaled Al-Mabrouk to the legal representative of the Anti-Corruption Authority in the eastern region, Omar Al-Dulaimi on March 27, 2022,in response to the instructions of the Public Prosecutor to enable the Anti-Corruption Commission to carry out its duties.

A special source commented by saying: « The Minister of Finance mentioned in his letter the correspondence of the Parliament Speaker regarding limiting dealing with the National Anti-Corruption Authority only through the legal representative, and he ignores the Parliament’s failure to recognize his government and give confidence to another government. »

It is noteworthy that on March 9, the General Attorney addressed the Council of Ministers by circulating to ministers, heads of bodies and other bodies to enable the Anti-Corruption Commission headed by Noman Sheikh to exercise their powers.

According to the clarification of private sources, they said that what the Minister of Finance is doing is a clear challenge to the Attorney General, because the Attorney General demanded to empower the control officers of the National Anti-Corruption Authority, which is affiliated with Numan Al-Sheikh.

He previously addressed the legal representative in the east, Omar Al-Dulaimi, the Minister of Finance, asking him not to deal with the Anti-Corruption Authority headed by Al-Sheikh, on December 1st, 2021.

It also became clear on March 2, that Al-Dulaimi’s file in the civil registry was forged according to the correspondence of the General Attorney’s office, with the Civil Status Investigations requesting to stop his registration and not to give him national numbers through them until the completion of the ongoing investigations in particular, with his request to attend the General Attorney’s office accompanied by documents.

Our private sources said that what the Minister of Finance is doing is a clear challenge to the General Attorney, because the latter demanded to deal with the National Anti-Corruption Authority affiliated with Noman Al-Sheikh, which revealed many corruption files against the Minister of Finance and the Director of the Budget Department at the Ministry of Finance, with his indifference to the Prime Minister’s instructions.
