Shakshak declares to our source about the goals and projects related to the strategic plan of the State Audit Bureau and the latest signed agreements
The President of the State Audit Bureau in Tripoli, Khaled Shakshak, stated during the launching ceremony of the strategic plan for the State Audit Bureau today, Wednesday, March 30, 2022. He said : « Today we launched the strategic plan for the State Audit Bureau, which covers the period from 2022-2026. Because of our belief, as senior management and leaders in the State Audit Bureau, and that strategic planning is the basis of success for any institution, I believe that no institution can use its resources in the required manner and achieve clear goals and have a vision except through the presence of a plan. »
He added : « This strategic plan certainly stems from a study of the reality and assessment of needs, which was carried out during the previous years in cooperation with international professional bodies specialized in the field; We used to have, as we are today, strategic plans that covered the years 2014 to 2019 and 2019-2022; But the difference is that the previous plans were made with special efforts by the Diwan’s leaders and were guiding only to achieve specific goals. »
He continued : « The situation is different now, as many international organizations have questioned us, the most important of which is INTOSAI, which represents the supreme audit and accountability bodies in the world of the United Nations. It provided us with support through the IDI initiative to evaluate the work of the Bureau with a report consisting of about 300 pages that included all the shortcomings and gaps in the work of the State Audit Bureau. »
He explained : « The report was the basis for preparing the strategic plan, which contains 4 main objectives, from which 126 projects emerge, including those that will be implemented by the cadres of the competent departments of the Bureau, and others that will be implemented with the support we received through agencies and international organizations, most notably the World Bank and USAID. There is now an initiative from the European Union for some projects. »
