National Oil Corporation rebuts Presidency Council claims

Continuing on their conflict, the National Oil Corporation in Tripoli (NOC) said today that Presidency Council (PC) hasn’t adhered to their mutual agreement with regard to the budget requirements which it must be provided to the NOC

This was included in a statement sent by the NOC to SADA this evening. It was apparently a reply to a letter addressed to them by the PC, leaked on the internet last night

The PC’s letter stated that it has paid all financial requirements of the NOC as its chairman Mustafa Sanallah must stop making media statements which it described it as it “lacks of credibility”

NOC first reply was that they have only heard about the PC’s letter from media outlets as they haven’t formally received any letter

NOC letter of today has rebutted the numbers were included in the PC letter. It said that there are considerable differences between the numbers for amounts of money were given in the leaked PC letter and the amounts they they have both agreed on before

For instance, as for NOC’s employees’ salaries, they both agreed in November 2016 that NOC will receive 1 billion and 350 million Dinars. While in the PC letter the assigned amount was 1 billion and 200 million Dinars

Moreover, both agreed that the needs of the NOC are 2 billion Dinars but the PC has assigned only 1 billion and 610 million Dinars
