He continued: “This is in terms of the principle of transparency and equality in the distribution of opportunities and the start of the restoration and maintenance work of the road, what is known as the road of death between Sebha and Ubari. As well as addressing the deteriorating living conditions, starting with providing food baskets to the residents of the south in general and the residents of Ubari in particular.”

The spokesman for the Ministry and the member of the Lockdown Committee revealed that the demands will be referred to the government, which understands the situation and will start responding to them to reach a solution to stop the locks permanently, which took place in the last period.

According to what these sources said, the ship, named Alkareem, and through the research it becomes clear that the ship Alkareem is for transporting general goods and not a tanker of oil derivatives as it is claimed.

It is also worth noting that Alkareem ship is owned and managed by a Turkish company called Sea Dream Ltd. and registered in the African Republic of Togo. The owner company is based in the Turkish city of Mersin and has a group of medium and small-sized cargo ships, which may have approached to supply fuel for private use.

The officer in the Coast Guard, Abdul Rahman Milad, nicknamed Al-Bidja, had announced the arrest of the ship smuggling targeting the food of the Libyans from the Zawiya refinery point of the western sector of the Coast Guard, north of the Abu Kammash area.

He added: “We hope that the National Oil Corporation will take control of matters to lead this stage because of our great confidence in it.”

The Minister of Oil and Gas responds to the news circulating about the “67%” decision

The Minister of Oil and Gas in the Government of National Unity, Mohamed Aoun, stated exclusively to our source regarding the decision to increase the salaries of the oil sector “67%”, saying: “We have no information at this moment.”

The Laborers Union for Oil and Gas Sector had issued a statement confirming, through its sources, that the salaries sector would be increased and a “67%” decision would be activated for oil workers during this period.

As Williams said: “We believe that oil revenues, which are the lifeblood of the Libyan people, must be managed in a fully transparent and accountable manner and distributed equitably among all Libyans.”

For his part, the Prime Minister-designated by Representatives, Fathi Bashagha, stressed the need for a fair distribution and transparent management of oil revenues, so that they are not used for political purposes, adding that the government, during its meeting yesterday in Sebha, decided to visit the oil fields and find out the reasons for the closures and address them.

He added: “Whereas, the Prime Minister had assigned a ministerial committee headed by the Minister of Finance, Dr. Khaled Al-Mabrouk to study a unified salary schedule, and after about ten meetings, it referred the proposal to the government. In turn, the Council of Ministers referred it to Parliament, and after that it was referred for discussion in the Finance Committee of the House of Representatives.”
